[Via Satellite 02-13-2015] Satcom Direct has opened three new offices around the globe for training support and satcom system consultation for the aviation market.
One of the offices is near Centennial Airport (KAPA) near Denver, Colo. KAPA is the third busiest general aviation airport in the U.S. and 30th busiest airport in the country for landings and takeoffs. In Ottawa, Canada Satcom Direct’s new office is tasked with research and development of new products in addition to providing technical support services to customers. According to the company, more than 85 percent of global airborne satcom Satellite Data Units (SDUs) were developed in Ottawa. Lastly — for now — the company’s new Melbourne Australia office be will inaugurated at Australia’s International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition. Satcom Direct has also joined the Australian Business Aviation Association.
Pilots, flight operations staff, and maintenance crews can receive technical training from these three new locations. Satcom Direct is also tasking development teams with bringing new products to market. Going forward, the company is planning a training lab in Denver to serve the Rocky Mountain area.
