[Via Satellite 08-22-2014] Hispasat is providing two mobile units equipped with satellite transmission systems to provide satellite communications for the 2014 Vuelta a España cycling race. Journalists and the host organization will have access to Hispasat services for broadband, video and voice, among other services.
Hispasat is placing the first mobile unit at the finish line for each stage. The second unit will remain at the Vuelta a España headquarters where it will connect a mobile fax and telephone center.
The Vuelta a España 2014 has 21 stages stretched from the Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, in the south of Spain, to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, in the north. The race, now in its 69th edition, occurs from Aug. 23 to Sept. 14.
